And still she couldn't warm herself, the walking wasn't helping a bit. A change in the direction of the wind swooped her shirt up quickly. She briskly skid her hands to hold it down.
"I guess that's what I get for wearing cashmere for once, goodness." She spoke softly to her pup that she was walking. Lovely was an Irish Setter, a beautiful one at that. She didn't need a leash, she was a good dog. And she loved the park, "Why do you make me take you for a walk everyday? Huh?" She smiled as she playfully pushed Lovely from her side, she barked and continued to trot beside her master. Kate couldn't help but laugh, a laugh that most people enjoyed. She hated her laugh though and let people know that, they would only disagree. She pulled her pea coat together with her hands in her pockets. Her shoulders raised attempting to keep herself warm, and to keep her shirt down. She prayed no one saw that before, though she still walked happily forward. The night calmed her, but not the winter. She had always hated the winter, unless it was a blanket of snow as it was now.
Her boots crunched through the snow as she went into the open field, she slipped out the frisbee from her backpack. She set the backpack down, not caring if it got snow on it and threw it far. Lovely glomped in the snow completely distracted, Kate laughed again and kept a smile on her face. "Lovely, over there, you dork!" She pointed with her coat and raised her eyebrows, expecting something out of her. Lovely perked her ears and cocked her head, then happily glomped to the toy.[/sub]

Darrick messed up his hair with a light groan. He never thought it was so hard just to get the where his brother is and then to find him. He knew his brother was good at hiding himself if he chose to, but this was almost insane! He sighed to himself and his green eyes scanned around for abit. He saw a park and decided to walk that way, a walk in the snow covered park seemed appealing for a moment. He only wore a button down black shirt with a thermal shirt underneath and a leather bomber jacket with jeans and boots. He inhaled the nice smell of the snow, well until his nose caught the scent of a human and... a dog?!? He blinked and shook his head and continued to walk, that was until he heard a nice laugh and then the sound of crunching snow. He turned right as an Irish Setter came bounding towards him. He noticed the frisbee and then moved out of the way with perfect elegance, but then again he had to make it look like he hadn't. He let himself fall over as the dog went past him. No doubt the dog would know what he really was, but he couldn't let that mortal know, atleast not unless it was worth it.

OOC: Sorry it's short.lol.
As Lovely received the scent of this man, her ears pinned backward and she crouched down. She began snarling, Kate ran after her. She bent down next to her and began to pet her, trying so hard to calm her down. "Lovely, what's wrong?" An eyebrow arose as she looked at the man, suspiciously. She kept petting her, and her snarl calmed slightly.
Kate's hair flew in her face, and tangled her eyesight. She brought her right hand from Lovely's chest and gently slid it behind her ear, she didn't smile at him. She was curious to why Lovely didn't like this man, and she definitely let that show in her expression. She didn't like him already, but hoped he would prove her wrong. When he fell she sort of laughed before, but straightened herself trying her hardest not to be rude. "You alright?" She spoke in one tone, obviously not caring.

(Ok.. I think you need to edit that.. lol Darrick fell as Lovely rushed past him, so it would look like she had ran over him alittle.. So just move some of the things below the You alright.. so it makes sense)
Darrick lightly growled at the dog as she began to take the defensive with him. The girl came after her dog to calm her down and as she did, he nodded to her question.
"I'm ok. I guess I was in the wrong place. And I guess your dog sees me as a threat", he said softly.
He looked at Lovely and closed his eyes and then looked at him. He lowered his head lower than hers and then laid completely on his back in the snow. He looked up and smiled alittle.
"Its ok. I'm no threat to you or your owner.. I promise".
He stayed in what canine's knew was the submissive I am no threat position, but to the girl it was an exhausted position or something like that. He was beginning to pray that the dog would accept he was no threat or she would give him away.

Kate had always been a sucker to guys who spoiled Lovely, and this guy wasn't any different. Though there was something about the way Lovely acted around him, like he was different.
Lovely smiled with panting, her tail shook her body back and forth. She knew this man, and she knew the fact that he wasn't a man. And she wasn't about to treat him like a human, she liked dogs much better. Other than Kate of course, but she could see something in his eyes telling her not to give him away. She submitted. She wobbled up to him and licked him all over the face, and went to pick up the frisbee.
Kate smirked a little when he laid on his back. She wasn't stupid, she knew he was submitting to Lovely, and she liked that. A lot for some reason. She decided to sit down in the snow, her American Eagle jeans could withstand. It stung her butt, she didn't care a bit. Part of her wanted to get to know him, and another part of her didn't. She still couldn't figure him out, though she wanted to. Normally she could get the idea of what people were thinking, and all she knew was that he was holding something back from Lovely. Like they were sharing a secret or something,
"So how did this bond already happen? I mean it's like your part dog or something." She laughed, she hated her laugh. Her smile continued as she looked at him. Her elbows laid on her knees as she leaned forward, there was no cleavage. She never allowed that. Her eyes showed that she was joking, and her smile faded to a smirk.
Lovely picked up the frisbee and poked him with it wagging her tail ...

Darrick sighed abit in relief and then sat up, laughing alittle as Lovely licked his face. He smiled and then looked at the girl. He was in the clear, or so he thought. She asked him about the bond with lovely, and when she mentioned half dog his eyes dilated a moment and he blinked so she wouldn't know. She was laughing like she was joking so he relaxed with a smile. He shook his head.
"I dunno, but I'm sure its because I work with alot of dogs and wolves. So I know what behavior tactic to get them to like you. I'm usually very good with animals, my parents say its a gift me and my brother have. Anywho.. excuse my manners, I'm Darrick", he said softly, holding out a hand.
Right as he did, Lovely came back with the frisbee and he looked at her with a smile.
"Alright..", he said as he then looked at her, "Forgive me.. I take it your dog wants to play".
He then took the frisbee from her mouth, then looked around before he threw it, doing his ought most best to not use any strength for fear that he would give himself away. Once he did he then returned back to the girl.

Her eyes narrowed at him, not threateningly. Continuing to try to figure him out, he was no doubt an odd one. She kept getting the intuition that he was hiding something, and that thought didn't hesitate to stay in her mind. It annoyed her, not being able to know everything about a person. And she wasn't about to deal with it. She was known to be a stubborn bitch, and she didn't really like that image and hoped he didn't get that from him. Her eyes traveled down to her hands listening to his voice, and it was unusually seductive. Obviously without him meaning it to be. She smirked at herself, and she knew he would notice. Not worried at all, because she was extremely good at covering herself. Covering her true self to everybody, except for Lovely and Chance. That reminded her, Lovely had to go home. But she didn't want to go home just yet, she was determined to get to know him. To understand him. She picked up some snow and began to play with it between her fingers, her eyes then traveled back to him while her face faced the ground. Her eyes gleamed with suspicion, curiosity. And there was no doubt that they glowed with the moon's rays right now, the deep brown that no one has penetrated. She sprinkled the snow off of her hand and reached up sliding her hair behind her ear, on the right side. She looked at him, and didn't know what to think. No longer smirking she spoke sweetly, "Manners, I honestly don't care about them. I just like to have fun." She was dead serious, that's what she lived for. A sly smirk appeared across her face, her lip gloss shone in the moonlight. She watched the muscles in his arms flex as he threw the frisbee. Dang. She discreetly shook her head and looked back down to the ground. Though she liked looking at him, she looked back up. "No need to be forgiven, she likes you. A lot." She chuckled at it, "As I said, no need for the manners. That's no fun." She winked as she leaned back on her hands.

Darrick looked back at her and she had that look. He knew that look anywhere. That was the look of stubborn curiousity. It almost reminded him of his brother's. He sighed softly and looked up at the moon, closing his eyes as he let the moon's rays shine down onto him. He soon opened his eyes and then looked at her with a smirk.
"Well you know.. it wouldn't be fun for you to just stare at me and just try and figure why I'm so mysterious. Soo.. are you gonna just sit there freezing your butt off or would you care to start walking before we get hypothermia", he said with a chuckle.
He then slowly got up right as Lovely came running back towards him. He smiled as she jumped on him and he laughed before dancing alittle with her and then letting her paws go so she would return them to the ground. His green eyes glowed though, it seemed and if she even understood that, it would have given him away, but then again so did hers so he was safe for now. He brushed himself off of the snow and then began to slowly walk, placing his hands in his pockets.
"So, you never told me your name".

In a stubborn motion, her lips pursed. She hated it when guys could read her that easily, as he just did. It frustrated her that she wasn't a mystery to them, but it had always been that way. And hanging out with guys all of her life didn't help, at all. It just helped them even more it seemed like. Was I really that predictable? She rolled her eyes at him, though she loved sarcasm. She definitely preferred that over the cheesy pick-up lines that they usually shot at her, she just walked off by that time in normal situations. Though she then reminded herself that he was not normal, at all.
"I don't know about you, but I want to walk. No need to be a jerk." She was totally kidding, and really didn't care if he thought she wasn't, he was frustrating. She liked to be in charge, but she liked the edge to him. A lot. Her eyes traveled to Lovely as she was standing up, she came prancing along to her side.
Kate figured that he would ask why she didn't have a leash, but then again she didn't. She couldn't predict any action this man takes, and it annoyed her greatly. A chill rushed inside of her coat, crawling up her spine naturally. It raised bumps on her body everywhere, even her cheeks slightly. She always got cold quickly, so she always had a spare coat in her car. Never willing to take coats from people, it was awkward to her.
Her purple flats brought her forward and her ears echoed with the crunching of snow beneath the three of them. She began to button her pea coat, starting at the bottom. Once she was cozy, her hands slid into her back jean pockets. The cold bit her hard, she flinched and her hands went into her coat pockets instead. Her eyes would not travel to Derrick, not now. Her stubbornness no doubt gleamed in the night now, "Kate." She spoke briskly, and her tone was neutral.
Lovely happily pranced between them, as if attempting to break the tension. Something told her she was failing. She thought about ways to brighten it, her muzzle traveled to Derricks hand and bit it. Hinting him to hold her hand, she was oblivious that it was the wrong time for that. For she didn't know these things, Kate only hung out with guys as friends.

Darrick smiled at her comments and her name. Oh yes, he could be sarcastic and sometimes one of those guys that could frustrate a girl so easily. It seemed to him, that it was because he could smell and see that frustration welling up in her because she couldn't exactly have what she wanted at the moment, mainly because it seemed the only way she was acting like this was because he had just turned her world upside down for a brief moment. Although, when Lovely bit his hand, I stiffened and exhaled alittle as he looked at Lovely. She simply made that gesture that indicated to Kate's hand. He rose an eyebrow and shook his head, mentally telling her this wasn't the time yet. He then looked at Kate a moment and then looked at the snow. Oh he wished he could shift and run in it, he missed the feeling of snow on his fur. He blinked and shook his head, this wasn't the time to start thinking about it. He closed his eyes a moment and then spoke softly.
"I'm not a jerk, so sorry for that. My full name is Darrick Tarimoon and actually I'm kind of new here. I came searching for my older brother because I got news that he was attacked, so I came to make sure he was alright. So what about you? Anything interesting happening to you?"

Her eyebrows crunched together at the thought of the one word that echoed her ears, attacked? There weren't many attacks in this town, and if there were it would have been all over the papers. The front page no doubt. That made her wonder if he was telling the truth, or if it was supposed to remain a secret. But why would it be a secret? She shook her head from side to side, and her face angled toward him. Her eyes were still looking at the ground though and it took them some time to reach his face, and of course she didn't feel a connection. She never did nowadays. But then again she never really looked for one, and didn't want one. She spoke with much concern in her voice, "He was attacked?" Her eyes didn't leave him, though he was very attractive. It wasn't hard. His chin was so angular it amazed her, and his eyes. His eyes melted her heart, that really made her not to want a connection. Remember, he's just the same as the rest of them. All of them are the same when it comes to the ladies. Always. And they have yet to prove her theories wrong, that annoyed her. She loathed the fact that they were all the same, so she always held her true self in. And continued to. Lovely gave out a slight grunt of disappointment, but it didn't last long. She happily trotted in between them, and gradually got ahead of them.[/sub]

Darrick watched her. She seemed to be fighting herself and he looked up at the moon. Oh god how it was pulling him. He wanted nothing more than to take a run, to feel the sweet sensation of the change and to feel the snow as he ran, it catching on his fur. He let out a soft sigh and then snapped out of it as Kate spoke. He nodded with a glum look.
"Yes, that's what I heard, but I looked in the paper's and it seems it didn't even make news. My guess is that my brother didn't tell anyone or he was attacked by an animal", he said softly.
Yes, an animal, most likely another werewolf, he thought in his head. He looked over at Kate, the slight urge to mess with her overcame him. Sure he could always freak her out with some Spirit Elementing, but then again that may not be wise. He shook his head and smiled, then looked to see Lovely ahead of him. He smirked and looked at Kate.
"But enough of worry, the night shouldn't be so gloomy", he said.
He then grinned and then took off running, Running to catch up to Lovely. He laughed and then howled, making Lovely howl before he grinned and just ran into the snow, sighing contently to himself at the feeling. He then hopped abit in the deeper snow and when there seemed to be a frozen lake, he grinned and the tran unto it, sliding across it as Lovely seemed to follow him.

Kate's eyes stayed on Lovely while he spoke, and then her mind took over her sight somehow. She was picturing the attack, the animal, and Quin. There was no way in hell that no one would have noticed, they would've definitely heard something. But, it is a large city. Oh well. She just didn't understand why something told her that he didn't want to talk about it more, like there were some sort of secrets to it. She shrugged to herself.
She then got the feeling that he was looking at her, so she let her eyes travel up to his face. An eyebrow automatically rose, he was smirking. Her eyes narrowed, knowing he was up to something. Then he took off. "What the hell?" Her voice was bewildered at the sight, as was she as a whole. She didn't know what he could be doing, and finally came to the conclusion that she would never be able to figure this guy out. Suddenly she made herself a promise not to try, pinky promise. She took those very seriously.
She wanted to laugh, but she quickly brought her hand up to cover her mouth. Her green glove accented her dark brown eyes, they of course couldn't hide the emotion and were smiling. She didn't want to laugh at him, just at the idiocy of what he was doing. Her mouth curled up into a wide-toothed smile, though he wouldn't be able to see it ...

Unbeknowst to Kate, Darrick could see it from a twisted heightened senses. He looked up at the moon and smiled, then began to slide on the ice, only the fall into the snow on the other side. He was unseen, it would have been a perfect time to shift for awhile, but something told him not to. Atleast, not right now. He sighed in frustration and slowly sat up, looking around, then falling back and making a snow angel for the fun of it.
(sorry its short..)
