Cliche Hesitance

_{[glow=red,2,300]Paws[/glow] scruffed the pebbles beneath her, letting the rocks shift with her movement. Manipulation. A deep sigh ruffled the short, white hair above her lip. A sigh of discontent, and nervousness. She knew it was normal for butterflies to be frolicking about in her stomach, how cliche. She hated anything that was even near the definition of cliche, for she longed to be different. But that was the reason she was here, that cliche thing called love. She minorly gagged at the thought of the word, mushy-gushy love. Her paws picked up a little as she got tired of hearing the pebbles shift about beneath her petite bodice. She brought her muzzle upward, her golden orbs of the sunlight followed. Squinting, she stopped to view the land before her. Dang, she thought to herself. She was impressed with the show, but hoped to find a mate soon. To get this over with. She wasn't about to deal with those romantic types, but hoped to find a dedicated friend who would do mischievous deeds alongside her. Now mischief, the opposite of cliche. She enjoyed the thought of that word, letting a satisfied sigh bellow through the tall grass. Watching it from side to side she raised her senses, hoping to get a whiff of a potential mate ...}

Miakoda ran into the fields bouncing from flower to flower. "Hah I'm just glad I'm away from mom and dad! Yuch, I don't even want to know what mom and dad were talking about!" He pounced from bush to bush, laughing as he watched the petals and leaves fly from his paws into the air. As he happily bumbled along he bumped into a she wolf. "Hey watch where your walking!" He growled irritably.

_{Her claws dug into the soft earth beneath her slender bodice. [glow=red,2,300] A deep, intimidating growl bellowed her bowels.[/glow] She made sure it was loud and used much force to make it echo the canyons of the land. Her body slowly spun around in a tight circle with her head low, menacingly, her auds pinned tightly to her skull. Suddenly she stopped her teeth from showing, for it was only a male. A handsome male at that. But she noticed that he was less mature, which was fine, she guessed. A skeptical look came about her newfound expression, not sure how to judge him. Her mind went blank, and quickly flooded with freshly-thought thoughts, though she wouldn't even share them to herself. Hesitantly she picked her head up, hoping she didn't scare him away by now. She tended to go overboard when it came to fighting and thought that maybe one would begin, she had to be ready. The claws carefully slid out from the dirt, once she felt him as no threat, feeling the fresh air upon her small paws. Her oak-like orbs met his gaze, she kept it while she spoke,
"Hey there. I'm Radiant Mist. Are you usually this immature about things?" She spoke with a slight attitude and raised her chin just slightly above where his was. A short snort bellowed her nostrils as a sly, yet beautiful smirk appeared across her light colored muzzle.}

Rubbing his head with his paw he turned to look toward Radiant. "Are you usually staring out in to blank space and can't hear when some one is coming? Oh and my name is Miakoda." He snorted irritably. Oh wipe that smirk right off your face... He turned around and sat down his back turned to her. Now Miakoda was feeling stupid. He turned back to her. "Ah, I'm sorry Radiant. It was my fault I should have been watching where I was jumping. I apologize."

_{She jumped back, acting completely surprised. She tilted her flawless face to the side speaking with much sarcasm,
"Woah! You can be mature!" She winked and gently walked up to him, hoping he wouldn't become nervous or afraid. Never nervous with males, she kept the look of much experienced. Although she was only one, and her stomach was churning like crazy. Once she reached him, she started to look into his eyes. Ew, why am I doing this? Shaking her head she rolled her eyes at herself. But there was something there, something she couldn't put her paw on, oh that's it! A connection, I felt some sort of connection. She had never felt that before, and hoped that it was a good thing. Not being able to help it, she licked him gently on the nose. There it goes again! She growled with annoyance that she didn't know how to react to this feeling. Trying to distract herself from this thing she spoke with much gentleness,
"So why are you here Miakoda?" Her expression was serious, and she sat back on her rump intriguing herself in the answer that was to come.}

Jumping back in surprise from the sudden lick he rubbed his nose. "Uh well I'm only here because I wanted to roam off somewhere without having to hear my parents telling me to be careful." He shuffled his paws, nervousness and boredom was taking over. He bent over batted flower with his paw. "Hey can I call ya Mist?" Not waiting for a answer he began speaking again. "So Mist, what are you doing here?"

_{Her head tilted to the side just slightly, you could see her fur tilt along with it. An amusing sight for the viewer, she smirked and gave him a teasing look,
"So you just happened to come where romance does? I think you came here for a better reason for that."
She got up and playfully nipped at his ear, her pearl-like teeth caught a ray of the moonlight. She began to circle him, her oak orbs staring at her paws. They were scratching the surface of the moist dirt, and she began to wonder how to put into words why she was here. She attempted still staring at her paws,
"Okay, um let's see here ... Well I haven't exactly talked to another of my kind in a long time. So I decided to roam, which I've been doing, basically, since I was born. I started smelling this weird thing, like romance of some sort. Then I began to think, that's what I need in order to keep going forward in life."
Her eyes peeked up to see his reaction as her circling around him continued.
"So I guess you could say, I'm looking for that awkward thing called love. Some type of companionship that I can rely on." She couldn't help but chuckle as she spoke that word, love. She always felt like that word was a joke, but hoped he would prove her wrong. That's the real reason she's here ...}

[Asia]

Miakoda stared at Mist in sheer confusion. Why is she circling like this? He gulped and then turned to Radiant Mist. "Um, love? Is that why your circling around me? 'Cause you like me?" He looked down at his paws and his were wide with confusion. He couldn't believe what he had just said! Idiot! He hit himself on his head with his paw as he turned from Mist's face.

_{A somewhat sweet smirk appeared across Mist's face, and her head tilted only slightly. She scooted her strong figure forward and licked his nose gently, followed by a playful nip on his shoulder. She couldn't help but chuckle slightly, "That's the reason I'm here, goofy. I want to get to know you to see if I do like you." Her face kept the smile with much ease and she shuffled her paws a little bit. She was still nervous around him and hoped it would end soon. She had always hated being nervous because it showed weakness, and this seemed to be her only weakness. Males. She rolled her golden orbs at her thoughts, and a sigh ruffled the hair above her lip. Her eyes traveled up to him, her head was still tilted down a little. She forced her paws to stop. She didn't want him to know that she was nervous, so her muscles tightened. A feeling that she would prefer to feel over nervousness, she stood up. Muscles still tense, yet she would seem at ease. Her tail swayed her bodice ever-so-slightly as she spoke,
"So ... where are ya from Miakoda? And do you care if I call you Koda? I don't like all this formal crap." A crooked smile appeared across her muzzle, her body continued to sway along with her tail.}

"Nah I don't mind If you call me Koda. I live in Chemmingway Valley with my mom and dad. We're going to start a pack there." He smiled when he thought about his parents. "So where do you come from?" He asked while he sat down in the field. She wants to talk to me to get to me huh? All I say is that I hope I don't screw up somehow. A small smile covered his muzzle as he looked to her and waited for her answer.

Her eyes were brought up to the sky, watching the clouds go by she looked for an answer. The clouds were dark, it was no doubt going to storm soon. A snow storm. She liked snow, but never really got to share the love with anyone. She had always been alone, always. She finally spoke exactly what her mind wanted to say, "I'm from everywhere." She spun in a quick circle, her fur having a party upon her. Then her golden eyes looked back to Koda, "I've been everywhere, almost. And I've been traveling all of my life. So I guess you could say I'm not from anywhere. I just kind of make home for a night and move on." Then her voice became minorly playful,"But I don't let it bring me down, I like adventure and I never get tired of it. At all." Though somehow she portrayed seriousness, because she was serious. There was no joke about what she was speaking for once. "Can I meet your parents? Everybody likes me, so that's not something to worry about." She laughed with much confidence. For she had always been confident. Her tail couldn't be held back as it wagged faster and faster, "Please?"

"A traveler eh?" He asked with a slight smile. Miakoda was surprised at the sudden seriousness of her tone. Is she joking, being sarcastic or is she serious about that? He shook his head to get rid of those thoughts and perked his ears at what she was saying now. A huge smile appeared on his muzzle at her words. "Sure you can! I'm sure they wouldn't mind!" Koda's paws tingled with excitement. Turning around in the direction to go, he looked back at Mist. "You ready?"

Her paws danced beneath her, the sand seemed annoyed as it gathered around her face. She leaned her weight backward, her muscles tensed as if holding her back. What if they don't like me? I mean he's the first wolf I've met for awhile, I don't exactly know how to act ... dignified. She shivered at that word, somehow it disgusted her. It reminded her of her father, he used to say that word all of the time but she never knew what it meant. Now she did, she cringed. Her adrenaline rushed like rapids through her, she shot forward and yelled, "You better get in front of me, because I have no idea where I'm going." She couldn't help but laugh at how much of an idiot she felt like, but she was having fun with it. Her heart raced inside of her, as if it was attacking her from the inside. She didn't fight back, for she didn't let it take control as much as it needed to. It was obviously taking her somewhere, maybe she did know where she was going. Odd. Her paws felt numb as the cold pierced her veins, she would let Koda go first. He would have to go in first, though she wasn't intimidated. She feared for herself, she felt that all alphas were the same. Power-hungry.
