OOC: Two words. "Hmmm mmmm"
Zeek watched Garrett observe both he and Claire. He didn't know what Garrett was thinking, but the male wolf soon spoke. Zeek nodded solemnly. He out of the rest of them had been the least injured, and he knew it. It made him feel like he didn't do enough, like he was worthless to them. They had brought down the beast...but they both had suffered in the process. All he had gleaned from the fight was a kick. And he knew he didn't receive less injury because he was a better hunter, because he knew he wasn't. Claire was better then he would ever be, and he accepted that. But it also gave him reason to doubt himself, to wonder if he even belonged himself. If he wasn't going to take some hits for his pack; if he was just going to let them take all the pain and suffering and stand by idle, watching them while they did so, he was worthless.
He watched as Claire apologized for her idiocy... But that was wrong, and he knew it. The fault was not Claire's, she was a good leader. It was Zeek's fault for not being able to carry out her orders successfully, or at least in a manner that would help the pack. He had hurt the pack with his actions, at least in his own eyes. And when he glanced upon her eyes...as she stared back at him...He realized just how badly he had done. For in those eyes were the pain of the world. She was suffering because Zeek had screwed up. And now she felt it was her fault. But it wasn't!
So he looked to Garrett and said quietly, "I'll be right back..."
He then followed after Claire and sat beside her, following her glance out across the land. He knew that she blamed herself for this whole ordeal, but he wouldn't let her take the blame. Not when he knew it was his fault.
"It's not your fault...," he mumbled as he looked at the ground between his two fore-paws.

He watched as Claire apologized for something that wasnt her fault. And it wasnt Zeek's fault or even his own fault. They all had screwed up in some way but they deserved the outcome. It didnt matter if someone messed up. In his mind if one screws up then he isnt the only one that did. The entire pack did, no matter what it was. Everyone should always stand together and take responsibility for actions taken. Garrett watched as first Claire and then Zeek both padded off from him with sorrow in both of their eyes. They both think that is was their faults but it wasnt just one person. We all decided to hunt this, no one had argued and it was somewhat of a stupid choice. But everyone makes mistakes and in this case we all had screwed up. So he started his slow and painful decent up the hill. Garrett slowly got up holding back a yelp as he heard something pop on his body but he had no idea what. He then as quietly as possible, slowly limped up the hill. Step by step he took holding in all the pain. I have to get there and convince them it isnt their faults. Garrett had enough motivation in him to power a rocket to pluto and back, if rockets ran on motivation, which was enough motive for him to make it to where Zeek and Claire sat. Garrett took the final steps up the hill, almost falling more then once, but managed to make it up there. He sat, almost falling again, next to Claire. He sat for a second catching his breath. That had taken most of his strength to make it there. As he panted he thought on what to say. Garrett came up with an ok speech for them both to here. He finally caught his breath. Then he looked over to Claire and Zeek and started talking about what he thought about the situation. "Ok it is neither of your guys' faults. You must get that through your head. It would be the entire packs fault. We all had decided to hunt this buck, no one protested and we all obeyed our orders. Zeek and I had made a huge mistake when we ran into eachother but that was both our faults, no one in specific. Claire had scared the caribou a little to much but that was unintentional. But, anyways the point is that it is not just one persons fault. It is all of ours. So no one should feel bad about any of this. I mean we succeeded. Well sure some of us got hurt but that is part of life. You learn from your mistakes and then you move on, and try to improve on whatever you messed up on. That is what life is about. So can you both promise me not to do anything you will regret and not to think it is all your fault? Will you both promise me that?" He looked to them with eyes that were filled with wisdom. But where did this come from. Hmmm, I didnt think I could pull something like that off. I guess I underestimate myself.

Claire never looked at Garrett while he spoke, she only sunk in the words as they were bellowed from his voice. Her eyes stayed pinned to Zeek's paws, comparing them to her own for some odd reason that she couldn't figure out. She knew it was all of their faults, but she didn't prefer for the rest of them to feel pain. If there was going to be pain in this pack, she wanted to absorb it all for them. But she figured that wasn't going to happen, not with these two at least. Once his voice ceased her eyes swiftly looked up, her head not moving a whisker. The whiskers twitched however, now accepting the price of the hunt.
But she felt something inside puncture, she grunted refusing to whimper. She never had a memory of crying, or whimpering to the least. Long ago she had made a promise to herself to stay strong during everything, even the minor.
But that wasn't minor, her breathing was less constant. It was difficult to breathe, it felt as if there was a small, hollow twig down her throat. And it was as if that was the only thing she could breathe through, she knew they would be able to hear. She wouldn't let them do anything, it would get better over time. Though she knew she couldn't eat right now, she could wait.
She brought her haunches off of the ground and slowly turned around to face Garrett, she looked him straight in the eyes for a brief moment. She respectfully nodded slightly and gracefully walked over to the meal, drool took over her mouth at the scent. She had to hold herself back, for she knew if she ate it would hurt her even worse. The "other Claire" was fighting for control inside of her soul, she fought back with as much power as she could withstand without making a scene. So far she had won, she stood with the meal between her and the males. She barked at them briskly, telling them to begin eating. Though she kept her head up high, the same level as theirs. Her tail raised above everyone, signaling that she would get what she wants no matter what it took.

Zeek wanted to scream, "I didn't say it was my fault!", but he knew that it wouldn't be too far from the truth, and it would be far too close to lying for him. He instead remained quiet, only taking in Garrett's words, his ears twitching slightly. He didn't know how the other wolf had managed to drag himself to the point that he and Claire were at...he may not have been as injured as they first presumed.
Nonetheless, Zeek turned from the sight of the land as Claire did, although he was not so quick to move from his spot. He got to his paws, once again reminding himself as he glanced over at Claire, that he was the only one that really didn't seem to get injured from the encounter with the buck during the hunt.
He looked back at his own flank, scrutinizing himself, making sure he really wasn't injured. He flicked his tail slightly and nearly chased after it. He resisted the urge, however...barely..., and looked back at Garrett. He nodded solemnly and replied, "You are right of course...best to just forget... We got the buck anyway, right?"
His attention then abruptly turned to Claire as she gave a sharp bark, calling his attention to the meal at hand. He inclined his head slightly to the female and looked back to Garrett. "Time to eat!"
He then fixed his eyes on the downed beast and took off full-stride toward it, temporarily forgetting that Garrett might need some help. He was too focused on what the taste of the caribou's flesh was sure to be like. His mouth watered and he pulled up short in-front of the buck. He licked the side of the caribou where his own claws at scratched across earlier, licking at the blood dripping along the side of the carcass.
He then laid down next to it and, with a glance to Claire, he caught a small section of flesh on the caribou's side with his teeth and jerked his head back and forth, tearing off a tiny strip of blood-drenched meat. He had used his paws to hold onto the caribou's side while he was doing so to keep it still. He quickly scarfed down the piece and began his licking of the buck's side again after a quick lick to clean his maw.

Garrett nodded to Zeek. Claire barked toward them to come eat. Zeek left but Garrett stayed exhausted from the recent events. He would get the left overs. It didnt bother him at all. Everything tasted the same. All of it was just food to keep you going. So he laid there not budging and rested himself. He definetly needed it. Garrett shut his eyes and the most random things popped into his head. He thought of how they could of improved the hunt. Maybe if me and Zeek hadnt ran into eachother. I bet that would have made taking the buck down alot easier. Garrett laughed at some of his stupidity for not noticing him there. Then his mind traveled to other places and he fell asleep.

Claire twisted her neck as the sound of Zeek feasting echoed her ears. She was having trouble controlling herself, controlling the inner-Claire. For a second she was terrified that it would restrain her and take over with ease, but she was focused. She dared to look at him eating and she could not hold back a slight snarl from taking over her muzzle. Her teeth minorly shown in the moonlight, they glinted with an unknown evil. So unknown that she couldn't even understand it. Though she shook her fur, as if tearing the evil off of her skin. Failing. Again not being in control she began to snarl loudly at Zeek, every one of her teeth showing. She prayed he would back away, for she didn't want to hurt him deep down but she didn't know if she would. That truly terrified her. Though on her way she witnessed that Garrett wasn't eating, the snarl shifted to him. He was weak, and needed to eat. Taking herself over to him she barked roughly at him, "Garrett, you're weak. You must eat. Now." Her eyes were serious, and there was no doubting her power right now. The word now, was with much disgust. For she only wanted the most strength for her pack, he could not sleep until he ate. She held her head up high standing next to him, furious. Wishing she could control herself, but still failing miserably. They wouldn't notice that it was a different Claire, they would think she was just being, well living up to her name of a bitch.

Zeek had been minding his own business, eating as Claire had instructed. Thus, he was caught by surprise when a snarl broke out nearby him. He looked up innocently from his licking, unaware that he was the target of the snarl. Once he looked up, however, he noticed that the she-wolf...his female alpha, was snarling at him. Had she not wanted him to eat after all? He got quickly to his feet and backed away, trying to get as far away from the food as possible.
All he knew was that she was growling at him while he was eating, which he assumed meant that he was not supposed to be eating. He didn't know whether Claire would kick him out of the pack or attack him, either way he was going to try and avoid the majority of her anger. He managed to get about twenty feet from the caribou before she turned from him and growled at Garrett.
Zeek's ears drooped and his tail hung low. He crouched down and continued backing away. He had lost his original pack because of his own foolishness, he hoped it wouldn't happen again. Surely she hadn't changed that much from when he met her? He hadn't seen this mean Claire before, so he must have done something wrong.
He laid down on the ground and laid his head on his fore-paws, pointedly diverting his eyes away from Claire, hoping to avoid her wrath.

God she gets so bitchy sometimes. Cant she just leave me alone. He looked to Claire and saw she was now walking over to him. Oh, great just what I wanted in the middle of a nap. Someone coming to me and getting all bitchy when all I am doing is lying down. Garrett looked away, somewhat in disgust, but also just not wanting to deal with her. She came to him and told him something that pissed him off. For one she called him weak. Not a very good thing to say to someone that can have anger issues. And then she told him he had to eat. She might be the alpha female at the moment but Garrett doesnt normally listen. "Ok, if your going to tell me to eat and thats all, you might as well give up and walk away because I ain't moving. So just leave me alone for the moment and I will eat whats left. I need rest more then you think. Besides, I dont even think I could walk over there right now." He looked away from her and closed his eyes trying to drift off into a deeper sleep then before so he couldnt be disturbed.
OOC:Dont take any of this personally....

OOC: You guys either, this is the werewolf "wolf" of claire at the moment if you're wondering. But Garrett doesn't know that, just Zeek k?
It was in complete control now, whatever it was. Claire's soul was imprisoned behind steel bars as this "thing" took over her bodice. There was no chance of her controlling it, or she didn't think there was. There was something about what Eric had said that triggered it, she thought that maybe it was the attitude. She thanked the wolf gods that zeek backed away, she couldn't deal with him getting hurt. But Eric pushed it way too far. Her body surged for him, teeth shone in the moonlight. Her eyes were drawn to his neck, she began to cry inside. There was no hope. Her teeth wrapped around his neck and forcefully brought him to make his stomach show, it took her voice too ... "There, you will respect me. And you will do as I ask, whatever I may ask. Got that?" Her voice was like acid, something Claire could never do. Ever. Inside she was wailing with pain, but she had no choice. She felt her jaw become tighter, though it was just enough for him to speak. Again, she prayed he would say the right thing. There was no way he would know that this wasn't Claire, but something told her that Zeek knew. Maybe he can tell him? There was some hope that welled up inside her gut now, she was able to take control and give a glance to Zeek. She was quickly forced back into Eric's eyes. The glance to Zeek was no doubt filled with hate and anger, and control. But she hoped he could see the side of the actual Claire in there, her crying continued inside her soul wailing for control...

OOC:...Eric's char is Garrett...lol...
IC:Zeek watched as Garrett was attacked by Claire. He winced as her teeth made contact with the other male wolf's neck. He had been forced to look up at the female as she did so. He knew he couldn't look away from her any longer. And when he did...what he saw...wasn't Claire, or at least not in the sense of the Claire that she HAD been...the one that he knew and loved... This was something else... Those eyes that glared back at him held pain...anger...and a little of what he had expected to see in a alpha's glare....the power displayed so evidently in an attempt to control both of them. To what ends, he didn't know. But he knew that this wasn't Claire, so he called out to Garrett, "Give in Garrett! You don't know what you are dealing with...this isn't just an alpha exercising her power...if you don't do as she says...she'll kill you....please...just give in...."
He didn't know what would happen, but he hoped that whatever had taken over Claire wouldn't attack him.

OOC:Sorry but Garrett is probably gonna die now. He is very stupid and defiant so if claire snaps and does kill him well..... I hope not though. I was planning to use this charrie in the future.
He winced a little as she bit his neck. Then he started chuckling, something he couldnt hold back. It was just his nature. As she spoke he still chuckled somewhat. This probably pissed her off more but she was making a big deal over nothing. Nothing at all. I only listen to the commands that I believe are for my benefit. I know myself better then you know me so I suggest you stop all this fussing your doing and let go. Let me rest. Either that or let me die. But just to tell you, even when wounded I still put up a fight so beware." He chuckled again to himself. Then Zeek cried out to him. "Well I guess it would be a little late to take back what I just said, even if I wanted to. Dont worry Zeek. You hardly know me and shouldnt be so concerned with me. You guys would make it together by yourselves anyways. You dont need me" He then sort of swiveled his head back to Claire, waiting for her response.

Claire’s grip tightened just enough not to break the skin, a snarl bellowed her chest. It vibrated heavily and it crept to his throat. The vibrations spun around in her head, as if trying to tell her something. That something was wrong, though it didn’t want to fight. This didn’t make any sense to her at all, but she tried her best to understand it. Understand anything, anything at all about what was happening to her. Then something rushed through her, something stronger than adrenaline. It flet as if flames were surging through her bones, and had singed the inside of her skin. She cried, and her grip on Garrett’s neck tightened penetrating the skin. Now the fresh taste of blood, the smell, the presense of it, didn’t help the problem at all. It told her to continue, to absorb every last drop in his body with devouring the flesh along the way. Her eyes grew wide, one pupil dilated. She was disgusted,”You think I’m afraid of you? You worthless little kitten? Don’t you ever threaten my life.” She whispered, “Ever.” The expression was completely unreadable as she felt her body pulse drastically. She dropped him after her head lifted high in the air. Her eyes didn’t look at him or Zeek, just the ground, as she backed away slowly. Turning in a circle, she got her body ready, and put her anger into her paws, running, far away.

Zeek didn't have much time to register what was happening before Claire took off. He had watched as she had penetrated the skin on Garrett's neck and fled with an idle threat... He would help Garrett, but again, he felt like Claire needed it more. After all, Garrett had brought it upon himself.
Without another word, Zeek turned and ran after Claire, trying desperately to catch up. He had to find out what was wrong and he had to stop it...
It was his duty to so...both to Claire as an alpha and to Claire as another wolf...and...female...a female wolf...

Garrett flinched as Claire broke the skin. He looked into her eyes with a dark look. If she thought that he was afraid of her then she was most definetly wrong. His eyes began to light up as now he couldnt hold back his power. The marking across his body began to glow. But then after saying she wasnt afraid of him, she ran. Just ran away from him. He didnt understand why. It was like she thought she would explode and end up hurting him or something. But, why did she care? Why would she even care what happened to an ass hole that she just met? Why? The markings began to fade all the glow in them disappearing. His wounds had closed up so they didnt hurt that bad. He debated on whether to go after her or not. Then Zeek dashed off after her. So he decided he would go after them even if it wasnt for his best. He was curious in why she ran. Garrett had to know. So he bounded off the ground and chased after them, still hurting.

Claire's legs became numb as the cold air pierced her fur, sinking through to her skin. It felt as if her body was changing, becoming somewhat stronger, larger. She hated that feeling, the feeling of power. Her nose suddenly tickled with the scent of newcomers, more than one. She slightly cocked her head to the side and her claws sprawled out to stop herself, she would need to turn around. Leaning into it, she gradually stopped and brought herself up straight again. Her auds swiveled backward and her bodice soon followed. She blended in now with the trees, something she could use to her advantage even though she didn't need to. Her eyes saw that Eric and Zeek were running after her, she rolled her eyes wondering why they were and why they felt that she was important when she wasn't. Her bodice leaned toward the ground and it appeared as if she was about to fall, but then her paws reached forward putting her into a sprint. Her fur whooshed backward and she bolted straight in between them, she spoke softly, "Wolves at the borders." She knew they would follow if they were committed to the pack, she lovingly nuzzled Zeek as she passed, quickly.
OOC: I'm going to post in the borders now, after you guys post this thread is closed.
